PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new 1, 9, 10-anthridine compound. SOLUTION: The 1, 9, 10-anthridine compound is expressed by general formula [I], wherein R1to R7express each H or a group selected from substituted or nonsubstituted alkyl groups, substituted or nonsubstituted aralkyl groups, substituted or nonsubstituted aryl groups, substituted or nonsubstituted heterocyclic groups, substituted or nonsubstituted condensed polycyclic aromatic groups, substituted or nonsubstituted condensed polyheterocyclic groups, substituted or nonsubstituted aryloxy groups, substituted amino groups, halogen atoms, trifluoromethyl group and cyano group and may be the same or different. At least one of R1to R7is selected from the substituted or nonsubstituted aryl groups, the substituted or nonsubstituted heterocyclic groups, the substituted or nonsubstituted condensed polycyclic aromatic groups or the substituted or nonsubstituted condensed polyheterocyclic groups.
