<p>A stabilizer for stabilizing the butt end of a food product log being sliced into slices. The stabilizer is positioned between a conveyor conveying food product logs into a slicer and the slicer. Opposing side portions carrying stabilizing pinchers are moved out of engagement of a food product log being conveyed by the conveyor and into engagement upon release by the conveyor of the log being fed into the slicer.</p> |
