An electrophoretic display panel (1), comprises a plurality of picture elements (2); and drive means (100), for providing reset pulses prior to application of grey scale pulses and for providing shaking potential differences in between application of reset and grey scale potential differences. The display panel comprises two or more interspersed groups of display elements. Each group is supplied with its own application scheme (1, II) of shaking potential differences, the application schemes for shaking potential differences differ from group to group in such manner that the occurrence of shaking potential difference differs between said groups for at least some transitions. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
