<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adapter, which is already reserved for printing, from being connected to a printer different from that desired by the user for printing. <P>SOLUTION: Image information acquired from an image supply source is stored in association with apparatus information of a target printer for printing, and when connected to the printer, apparatus information of the printer is acquired for determining whether the apparatus is the target printer for printing or not (S304).
