<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact hand-held analysis instrument actuated in a low electric power. <P>SOLUTION: This hand-held analysis instrument comprises a body housing with an opening, to which a finger can be applied to generate a puncture wound in a body part, an analysis unit for analyzing body fluid obtained at the puncture wound, and a puncture wound applying device 3 including a lancet drive. The puncture wound applying device is movable between a lancet puncture operating position and a rest position, the puncture wound applying device being located at the puncture opening position in such a manner that by means of the lancet a puncture wound can be generated in a body part pressed against the opening of the body housing, and the puncture wound applying device being at the rest position is located remote from the opening part of the body housing. Consequently, this analyzing instrument can be moved into a clearance formed toward the opening part of the body housing and collect blood. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
