PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretch lining cloth having good slipperiness without embossing, a good touch, softness, suppleness, and stretchability in a transverse direction, which all should be essentially possessed by the lining cloth. SOLUTION: A method for processing the lining cloth comprises conducting heat setting of the cloth twice prior to dyeing of the cloth, when the lining cloth containing a latent crimp-developing polyester-based fiber in which at least one of components thereof comprises polytrimethylene terephthalate as the weft is dyed and processed.
