PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft bag where reinforcing plates can be installed respectively to one gusset part on the sides of front/rear surface parts, a bottom surface part and the other gusset part along them after turning the bag with its outside out and where the width of the bag can be varied. SOLUTION: The soft bag of top-opening/closing type has the front surface part 10, the rear surface part 11, both of the gusset parts 12 and 12' and the bottom surface part 13. Along one gusset part 12, the bottom surface part 13 and the other gusset part 12' on the sides of the front/rear surface parts 10 and 11, respectively U-shaped clothes (a belt 20 and a bag 30) are sewn, and the reinforcing plates 21 and 31 having nearly the same shape as the cross section of the clothes are fitted respectively to the respective clothes (the belt 20 and the bag 30) detachably. The width of the bag is varied while keeping overlapping of both of the reinforcing plates 21 and 31 by having the form of moving the front/rear surface parts to and away from each other.
