PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe allowing a user to confirm a change of an ultrasonic vibrator unit from a swing starting position without using a magnetic or optical position detecting sensor. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic probe which stores the ultrasonic vibrator unit 4a retaining an ultrasonic vibrator 4 and a swinging mechanism 20 swinging the ultrasonic vibrator unit in a casing 11, and starts the swinging movement of the ultrasonic vibrator unit from a prescribed swing starting position, is provided with a mark 15 formed on the outer circumferential face in an ultrasonic wave transmission side of the ultrasonic vibrator unit, and a window part 16 provided in the casing and, when the user views it from a prescribed direction in the outside of the casing with the ultrasonic vibrator unit positioned in the swing starting position, allowing the user to see through such that the center of the mark is positioned in an approximate center.
