PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the butt plug of a fishing rod, which is hardly loosened in fishing and has excellent detachability. SOLUTION: The butt plug 30 to be attached to the back end of a butt section rod 10 and has a stop section 33 formed at a position facing the back end edge of the butt section rod 10 and a handle section 35 arranged behind the stop section 33.
