The inner tube (3) of the telescopic suction tube assembly of the vacuum cleaner has indentations (4) provided for locking the outer tube (2) in an extended position by means of spring (8) loaded plungers (6,7), angled in opposing directions, housed in a sliding control (15) clipped on the outer surface of the outer tube. An extended section (22) enables use from the hand grip (10) end of the assembly.
