摘要 <p>When an interference fringe by lacrimal fluid is to be observed, a low-magnification light source (10) is lighted to illuminate the upper-most lacrimal fluid layer on a cornea to be examined Ec. A light reflected from the cornea Ec is focused on a CCD (16) to display on a monitor (18) an interference fringe pattern (18a) by an oil film on the cornea. When a lacrimal fluid amount is to be measured, light emitting elements (20a, 20b) as high-magnification light sources are lighted to illuminate the meniscus Em of lacrimal fluid stored in the bottom lid of an anterior segment. A light reflected off the surface of the meniscus Em is focused on the CCD (16), and the images (18b, 18c) of the light emitting elements (20a, 20b) are displayed on the monitor (18) as bright images a distance D apart. Measuring this distance D enables the quantitative measurement of a lacrimal fluid amount. With such an arrangement, one set of instrument enables us to observe an interference fringe by an anterior-segment lacrimal fluid layer and measure a lacrimal fluid amount.</p>
