<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layout method, a layout device, a layout program and a printer, which efficiently perform a layout of a document wherein a plurality of elements are tree-structured, by use of a limited resource. <P>SOLUTION: This layout method includes stages of: inputting the document wherein the plurality of elements are tree-structured by a markup; analyzing a basic tree that is a tree of a part of the elements including a route of the document and generating a basic DOM tree; repeating a series of processes for alternatively selecting the element that is a child of the element that is a leaf of the basic tree, analyzing a partial tree that is the tree of the element including the leaf of the document with the selected element as the route, generating a partial DOM tree, performing the layout of a display target of the partial DOM tree on the basis of the partial DOM tree and the basic DOM tree, and erasing the partial DOM tree. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
