<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately control image quality even in an image forming apparatus that has a relatively low-cost configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In each of image forming sections, the image forming apparatus forms an evaluation image corresponding to evaluation image data D1. The evaluation images include correction reference patches R12 to R16 and R22 to R26, besides Y, M, C, and K reference patches. In image reading section, the image forming apparatus reads the formed evaluation images. Based on the results of reading the correction reference patches, the image forming apparatus corrects the results of reading the Y, M, C and K reference patches. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
