<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus carrying out a process for controlling stabilization of variation in speed in a belt occurring due to eccentricity of a disc of an encoder in position control by a low cost method. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a transfer transportation belt 60, a transfer driving motor 302, an entrance roller 66, the encoder 301 with two sensors detecting the state of circulation movement of the transfer transportation belt 60, a composition circuit 501, a multiplier circuit 502, a counter 503 carrying out counting, a sampling circuit 504 and a data storing means storing data for signal generating timing for the two sensors when the belt performs circulation movement. When feed back control is carried out by a count value of the sampling circuit 504, the data storing means is referred to and when the signal generating timing for the two sensors vary at the same time, one of the output signals is delayed and signal processing is carried out thereafter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
