<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the occurrence of a void phenomenon can be prevented since the transport speed of a transfer material by a photoreceptor drum and a transfer roller is not changed even if any of a plurality of paper feed sections provided in the image forming apparatus is selected. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a contact pressure changing means for changing the contact pressure of a transfer means on an image carrier, and feeds and transports the transfer material from the selected paper feed section, to form an image.
