<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus designed such that image flow is prevented even in an OPC excellent in wear resistance by heating a portion opposite to a charging device/transfer device to 55°C or higher. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic image forming apparatus uses the organic photoconductor 1 in which the wear resistance of a photoconductive layer is improved. The image forming apparatus includes a heating means 7 that heats part of the organic photoconductor 1, which is opposite to at least the charging device 2/transfer device 4. With predetermined timing, the heating means 7 heats the organic photoconductor 1 to 50°C or higher while driving the organic photoconductor 1 in a stopped position at a prescribed timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
