<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a vehicle capable of preventing the theft of a lifting device (actuator). <P>SOLUTION: The safety device for the vehicle is equipped with a right and left fenders 2, 2 composing the front side part of the vehicle body, and a hood 5 covering between the upper part of both fenders 2, 2. The safety device is also equipped with an actuator 30 lifting the rear part of the hood 5 against the vehicle body at the lower part of the hood 5. A bracket 60 mounting the actuator 30 is provided below the side end part of the hood 5, and the mounting surface part 60a of the bracket 60 is disposed so as to abut to the upper part of the inside of the fenders 2, 2.
