PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of emitting light without attenuation, in a lighting system having surface-emitting light sources arranged in a V-shaped form. SOLUTION: This lighting system is provided with a pair of surface-emitting light sources 2 and 3, and the emission surfaces 2a and 3a of the pair of surface-emitting light sources 2 and 3 face each other so as to form a V-shaped form. The angleαof a valley part formed by the pair of emission surfaces 2a and 3a satisfies 90-β+γ<α<180, whereβis the minimum value of an angle formed by an emission spectrum of light emitted from the emission surfaces 2a and 3a with respect to the emission surfaces 2a and 3a; andγis a total reflection angle of the emission surfaces 2a and 3a and an angle with respect to the emission surfaces 2a and 3a. Since the angleαof the V-shaped valley satisfies the above expression, necessary luminance can be provided in a predetermined area without attenuation of the emission light or without degrading the luminance.
