<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a LED lighting device adjusting an output to a LED so as to have power consumption in accordance with to the number of LEDs to be lighted. <P>SOLUTION: This LED lighting device is equipped with a LED 2, and a lighting unit 5 which supplies power to the LED 2 and then lights it by adjusting the output voltage Vo as a voltage impressed on the LED 2 according to an output current Io flowing in the LED 2. Thereby, since the output voltage Vo to the LED 2 is adjusted to an optimal value in accordance with the number of LEDs 2 connected to the lighting unit 5, constant current control becomes possible without providing a constant current element 3 causing a problem of heating and losses, and power consumption can be set to a minimum value in accordance with the number of LEDs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
