PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting device which reduces any breakage caused by variation in the height of protrusion of a projecting connection terminal on the mating connector component, compared with the existing connecting devices. SOLUTION: A connector A served as a connecting device incorporates a base 11 having an insert 11a. A connection terminal is inserted into each of positions corresponding to many projecting connection terminals on the paired connector served as a mating connector component. Two plate-springs 12 are attached in each insert 11a on the base 11, and are supported by the base 11, facing each other with a connection terminal between in each insert 11a. A contact 13 comprises the conductive layers laminated and laid across each plate spring 12 in the insert 11a, and a periphery of the insert 11a on the opposite side of the mating connector in the base 11, and makes contact with the connection terminal by the spring action.
