PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin composition for a liquid crystal dropping method, a sealing agent for a liquid crystal dropping method, and a vertical conducting material to be used for manufacturing a liquid crystal display element by a dropping method, these materials being free from deformation or breakage in a sealing agent pattern even when a liquid crystal cell produced by laminating substrates under reduced pressure is taken out in a normal pressure environment, and to provide the liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: The sealing agent for a liquid crystal dropping method comprises a curable resin component and a solid component, wherein a ratio (a/b) of the viscosity (a) (Pa s) of the agent measured with an E-type viscometer under conditions of 25°C and 1.0 rpm to the weight ratio (b) (wt%) of the solid component ranges from 9.5 to 35 and the curable resin component contains at least a curable resin by 15 to 30 wt.% which shows 800 Pa s viscosity measured with an E-type viscometer under conditions of 25°C and 1.0 rpm or which is solid at 25°C.
