PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting technique of tire internal failures and a detecting device of tire internal failures capable of detecting the early failures of tire with sufficient accuracy in a drum endurance tests. SOLUTION: The detecting device 10 of tire internal failures is a detecting device used for evaluating tests of the tire endurance rotating the pneumatic tire 12 by pushing the internal pressure-filling pneumatic tire 12 against a rotary drum. The present detecting device 10 includes a measuring section 16 measuring optically a three-dimensional coordinates of the whole surface of a crown section 12C during tire rotation, an operating section 18 calculating the circumferential expanding length and the transversal direction of crown section 12C from the three-dimensional coordinates obtained by the measuring section 16, and a judgment section 20 judging existence or non-existence of occurrence of internal failures from the expanding length derived from the operating section 18. Thereby, the circumferential expanding length and transversal direction of crown section derived from the three-dimensional coordinates provided by the measuring section 16 can be obtained by keeping the tire still in rotation with high accuracy.
