PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of achieving a good quality of printing without generating a tension line on a conveyor belt even when a paper is conveyed and printed at a high speed. SOLUTION: An inkjet recording apparatus comprises the conveyor for conveying the paper by the conveyor belt rotating in a definite direction, and one or two or more recording heads for jetting an ink on the paper conveyed by the conveyor belt and recording an image thereon. In the inkjet recording apparatus, the tension of the conveyor belt is set so that the tension of the printing face of the conveyor belt on which the paper is conveyed is made smaller than the tension on the other face of the conveyor belt.
