An ultraviolet sterilizer for a hand rail of an escalator is provided to prevent various infectious diseases by cleanly maintaining the sanitary conditions of the hand rail, and to enable a user to use the escalator cleanly and safely. The ultraviolet sterilizer for a hand rail of an escalator includes an upper sterilizer and a lower sterilizer respectively installed on an upper and a lower part of an existing escalator so that the hand rail is sterilized by ultraviolet rays while being rotated. In case of manufacturing a new escalator, the ultraviolet sterilizer is installed on from a lower part to an upper part of the inner rotation space of the hand rail for maximizing a sterilization effect. |
