A drum-type washing machine having a steam injection system is provided to prevent a heater from being overheated and to improve the heating efficiency of the heater by discharging only steam through a through-hole. A drum-type washing machine having a steam injection system comprises a drum(8) installed in the washing machine and formed with a tube(6) rotatably mounted in a housing space of the drum; a heater(20) mounted in a heater installation unit(6a) downwardly protruded at the lower end of the drum; and a cover(110) for covering the upper end of the heater installation unit in order to prevent water filled in the heater installation unit from overflowing the heater installation unit, and having a plurality of discharging holes for effectively discharging steam generated by the heater. The through-hole forming a circle on the cover is arranged in a file and a rank.
