<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently acquire a proper face image not by emitting excessive radiant illumination to an authentication object person but by emitting illumination suitable to the authentication object person when imaging a face image of the authentication object person. <P>SOLUTION: An illumination unit 14 emits illuminating light obtained by reducing light of wavelength that makes the authentication object person feel radiance, a camera 11 images input face image data of the authentication object person in each basic color component of the authentication object person under the illumination, a face collation processing part 15 compares the input face image data with registered face image data 16a in each color component and performs face authentication processing on the basis of a comparison result in each color component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
