<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood airbag device capable of minimizing influence of heat in an engine room. <P>SOLUTION: This hood airbag device 10 is arranged between a hood outer panel 16 and a hood inner panel 18 (cover member 30) constituting an engine hood 12 covering the engine room ER, an airbag body 14 is stored in a folded state in a case 36 opened upward, and this airbag body 14 expands and develops on the engine hood 12 when an inflator 38 stored in the case 36 works and supplies gas to the inside of the airbag body 14 in a specified case.
