PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst which prevents the agglomeration of nobel metal particles and suppresses the deterioration of activities of a catalyst.

SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purification catalyst is characterized by having a carrier 2 formed by a porous oxide, nobel metal particles 3 carried on the micro pore inner part of the carrier 2 and an agglomeration suppressing material (inclusion material 4) to control the agglomeration of the nobel metal particles 3.
