<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to extremely easily know types of operations that can be executed with a current remaining battery capacity. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 11 performs an operation for detecting a remaining capacity of a battery 3. When the detected remaining capacity is below a specified value, predicts power consumption required for completing each of a plurality of kinds of operations related to reading and analysis of optical information or the like, lists type names of the operations executable with the current capacity of the battery 3 based on the predicted power consumption and the detected remaining battery capacity, and displays an executable operation list screen including menu numbers corresponding to the types on a display part 16.
