<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve stable insertion into a receptacle to assure connection with the receptacle. <P>SOLUTION: A memory card includes memory chips 3 embedded therein, and a card body 2 having two main surfaces and two lateral sides in parallel with an inserting direction and having a near rectangular flat plane shape. The memory card has a plurality of terminals 5, for connecting to an external system, disposed side by side along the direction for inserting the card body 2 into the receptacle; and a locking notch 7 for preventing the card from being disengaged from the receptacle. The plurality of terminals 5 are positioned at the front end in the inserting direction of the card body 2 to the receptacle, facing one main surface of the card body 2, and displaced toward one lateral side of the card body 2. The locking notch 7 is an acute cut locating at the other lateral side at one lateral side of the card body 2 and in the vicinity of the terminals 5, and formed facing one main surface of the card body 2 on which the terminals 5 are positioned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
