<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation reaction method of carbon black, causing little precipitation and forming a dispersion at a high yield, which dispersion has good long-term preservation stability, to provide a self-dispersible carbon black oxidized by the reaction method, and to provide a water pigment-based jet ink excellent in both of dispersion stability of the pigment and discharge stability of the ink by providing an ink composition composed mainly of the self-dispersible carbon black dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: The surface-treated carbon black is produced by previously pulverizing carbon black (a) in water by using a dispersant (c) and performing liquid-phase oxidation by using a hypochlorite solution (b). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
