PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor that facilitates welding for jointing a cylindrical case with a frame and has improved jointing strength, by welding between the cylindrical case and the frame. SOLUTION: The stepping motor 1 has the frame 4, with which the cylindrical case 6 is jointed by welding. The frame 4 has a case-mounting piece part 22, brought into contact with the front end part of the cylindrical case 6, a shaft support piece part 18 for pivotally supporting the tip part of an output shaft 8, and a base part 20 for coupling the case-mounting piece part 22 with the shaft support piece part 18. The case-mounting piece part 22 is provided with a central opening part 24, to which the output shaft 8 is inserted, and welding opening parts 30, 31, in which the front end part of the cylindrical case 6 is formed to a position, corresponding to the outer edge 28 of an installation region S abutting against the case-mounting piece part 22.
