PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptorusing a coating agent composition which enhances the mechanical strength and lubricity of an electrophotographic photoreceptor and can maintain these properties at a high level, over a prolonged period of time, and to provide a method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The coating agent composition contains a phenol derivative having a methylol group, a charge transport compound having a functional group capable of reacting with the phenol derivative, and a compound represented by Formula (A), wherein at least one of A<SP>1</SP>-A<SP>8</SP>is a group having one selected from epoxy, carboxyl and hydroxyphenyl, and a and b each independently denotes an integer of 1-100.
