PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball lifting device with a polishing belt fixing device capable of increasing the polishing belt holding power by applying tension to a polishing belt when the polishing belt is held and fixed. SOLUTION: A first fixing device 17 comprises a belt presser member 30 with an inclined part 33 and a cylindrical support member 42. The polishing belt 16 is inserted between the belt presser member 30 and the support member 42 and wound across a guide rail 19. After that, the belt presser member 30 is moved downward so that the polishing belt is held between a belt abutting surface 34 and the support member 42. Then, by drawing the polishing belt 16 toward a second fixing device 18, the belt presser member 30 is moved in the direction of drawing the polishing belt 16, and the polishing belt 16 is fixed by the belt presser member 30 and the support member.
