PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen collecting needle to eliminate work relating with possibilities of transmission through blood, such as removing a stopper body, to reliably complete filtration in collecting a specimen by a filtering member of a specimen collecting container; and also to provide a method of filtering a specimen by using a specimen collecting implement, a specimen collecting needle, and a specimen collecting container. SOLUTION: The specimen collecting needle 10 is equipped with the first hollow needle 12 with a needlepoint part 12a stuck through the stopper body 5, the second hollow needle 13 with a needlepoint part 13a to collect the specimen, and a hub 14 where the second hollow needle 13 is joined in an air-tight manner at an end part 13b. The first hollow needle 12 is detachably fit in the hub 14 at an end part 12b. The first hollow needle 12 communicates with the second hollow needle 13 through the hub 14. When A stands for the fitting force generated between the first hollow needle 12 and the stopper body 5 after sticking the first needle 12 through the stopper body 5, and B stands for the fitting force generated between the first hollow needle 12 and the hub 14, A is larger than B.
