PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot bath apparatus having superior aesthetic appearance and fragrance in the hot bath apparatus having a hot bathtub laid with wooden panel members. SOLUTION: The hot bathtub 20, in its internal wall, is laid with a plurality of oblong panel members made of cypress. When the panel members are laid on the internal wall of the hot bathtub 20, at first a plurality of bottom panel members 23a are laid on the bottom of the hot bathtub 20. Then, a plurality of crosswise side wall panel members 23b are disposed on the crosswise side walls of the hot bathtub 20 in the upper part of the plane of the bottom panel members 23a. A plurality of lengthwise side wall panel members 23c are disposed on the lengthwise side walls of the hot bathtub 20 in the upper part of the plane of the bottom panel members 23a. At the same time, the lengthwise side wall panel members 23c are disposed abutting on the front faces of the crosswise side wall panel members 23b. After the bottom panel members 23c, the crosswise side wall panel members 23b and the lengthwise wall panel members 23 are disposed, the lengthwise side wall panel members 23c are press-fixed by fixing members 24.
