PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely transfer reaped grain culms to a feed chain of a thresher and a nipping rod and to take over the reaped grain culms with left/right root transfer devices provided on the lower side of both the left and the right sides for transferring the reaped grain culms and left/right ear tip transfer devices provided on the upper side. SOLUTION: A combine harvester is composed as follows. The left/right root transfer devices 7 and 8 are provided on the lower side of both the left and the right sides for transferring the reaped grain culms and the left/right ear tip transfer devices 10 and 11 are arranged above the transfer devices. A left root transfer chain 7a of the left root transfer device 7 is linearly brought near to a right root transfer chain 8a of the right root transfer device 8 to form a joining part (a). A driving wheel 10a for the left ear tip transfer device 10 is provided in the area of a transfer driving part A of a left root transfer chain 7a after the joining part (a) so as to rotate and drive the left ear tip transfer device 10.
