PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric reel for fishing hardly giving large loads to gears, support parts and the like constituting an epicyclic gear power transmission mechanism when a drag mechanism functions in drawing out a fishing line. SOLUTION: The electric reel for fishing comprises a spool drive motor for driving to wind up a spool supported to be freely rotatable by the reel body, the epicyclic gear power transmission mechanism for transmitting the drive power of the spool drive motor to the spool and the drag mechanism for imparting braking force to the spool when the spool rotates accompanied by drawing out of the fishing line, and the drag mechanism is connected to an epicyclic gear support body constituting the epicyclic gear power transmission mechanism. In the electric reel for fishing, a one way clutch is installed between the spool and the epicyclic gear support body and the spool and the epicyclic gear support body are brought to be integrally rotatable through the one way clutch.
