<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which reduction of a dead space and miniaturization are made compatible. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus which has a case for storing a paper cassette drawn to the front and forms an image on recording paper reeled out from the paper cassette, the case has an aperture on the side, a cover having a member projected inside of the aperture, which covers the aperture on the side of the case, the cover has a cover part having the member and a slide part which slidably supports the cover part and the cover has a mechanism for integrally estranging the cover part and the slide part constituting the cover from the aperture and then, sliding the cover part in parallel with the aperture in the case of opening the aperture from a state that the aperture on the side of the case is covered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
