<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ni-Cu-Zn based ferrite material having anti-stress characteristics improved without deteriorating magnetic characteristics such as magnetic permeability or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The Ni-Cu-Zn based ferrite material comprises a sintered compact having a composition of 47-48.5 mol% Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 22-28 mol% ZnO, 4-10 mol% CuO and the balance being NiO as main components, wherein the relation between the standard deviation of the crystal particle diameter and the average crystal particle diameter of the sintered compact satisfies the ratio (standard deviation of the crystal particle diameter)/(average crystal particle diameter) of ≤0.45. The method of manufacturing the Ni-Cu-Zn based ferrite material comprises a step for compacting the compacting powder having the composition of the main components to obtain a compact and a step for firing the compact. The compacting powder is obtained by controlling 50% particle diameter to ≤1.1 μm, 90% particle diameter to ≤4μm and the standard deviation of the particle diameter to ≤0.8 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
