PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve quality of a product while simplifying a production process and shortening manufacturing time. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with: holding means 1 and 2 for holding both ends of a block member 10; a cutting means 31 for cutting a part from the block member 10 to form a magnetic slider; and cut surface machining means 32 and 33 having cut surface machining parts for machining cut surfaces for forming predetermined two surfaces of the magnetic head slider while being mutually opposed.
