PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator capable of increasing the width of the rotational angle of a control shaft by sufficiently tilting a link member so as to be substantially parallel to the axis of a ball screw shaft. SOLUTION: The actuator moves a ball nut 46 straight in the axial direction by rotating a ball screw shaft 45 by an electric motor 36, and has an interlocking arm 47 for interlocking the ball nut with a control shaft 32 for controlling a variable mechanism 4 and a link member 48. The link member comprises links 57, 57 arranged parallel to each other with a predetermined space, and a connection part 58 for connecting the links to each other, and has a space 59 in which the ball screw shaft can be fitted. When the ball nut is moved in one maximum direction, the space is fitted in the outer circumferential surface of the ball screw shaft, and the link member can be tilted so as to be substantially parallel to the axis of the ball screw shaft.
