PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment system, or the like capable of avoiding a possibility that, for example, a failure occurs in operation when attaching a battery that is not a dedicated battery by mistake in a portable telephone unit. SOLUTION: When a control unit 6 in the portable telephone unit 2 receives a dedicated battery notification signal from a battery device 3 via a communication relay circuit 13, the control unit can recognize that the battery device 3 is a dedicated battery for the portable telephone unit 2. When the control unit 6 of the portable telephone unit 2 does not receive any dedicated battery notification signals from the battery device 3, the control unit 6 can recognize that the dedicated battery for the portable telephone unit 2 has not been attached.
