PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller or the like capable of transmitting data representing a physical quantity associated with the environment. SOLUTION: The remote controller 2 includes: a sensor section 11 for measuring temperature, humidity, and illuminance; an operation section 12 for accepting user's operations applied to a television receiver 3; a wireless transmission section 14 that transmits data; and a CPU 13 that allows the wireless transmission section 14 to transmit data representing the contents of the user's operations and transmits data representing the temperature, humidity, and illuminance when the operation section 12 accepts the user's operations applied to the television receiver 3.
