PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an encoder capable of accurately detecting rotation speed by improving a magnetic characteristic. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the annular encoder 11 circumferentially magnetized to multiple poles comprises: a process of annularly injection-molding a magnet material containing 60-80 vol% of magnetic powder and containing a thermoplastic resin as a binder of the magnetic powder; and a process of circumferentially magnetizing it to the multiple poles using a magnetizing yoke.
