PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable pressure combustion burner free from problems on delay in ignition and generation of black smoke and odor by absorption of pulsation in soft starting ignition by an accumulator. SOLUTION: This variable pressure combustion burner comprises a nozzle 2 for spraying fuel oil, an electromagnetic pump 3 for force feeding the fuel oil to the nozzle 2, an opening/closing valve 5 mounted on the way of an oil feed pipe 4 connecting the electromagnetic pump 3 and the nozzle 2, and a combustion fan 7 for supplying the air for combustion. As the accumulator 6 not absorbing the pulsation of oil force feed and absorbing only excessive pressure, is mounted on the way of the oil force feed pipe 4 connecting the electromagnetic pump 3 and the nozzle 2, the supplied fuel oil is pulsated and the mixing with the combustion air is promoted by using the accumulator not absorbing the pulsation in soft starting ignition, which is suitable for the ignition by gradually atomizing the fuel oil. Thus good ignition can be constantly performed without generating black smoke and odor caused by delay in ignition, and the burner can be used in safety while reducing its ignition noise.
