PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail for a manhole which can be easily mounted when a worker goes into/out of the manhole via which the worker can go into/out of the manhole while securing safety, and enables a material etc. to be easily unloaded. SOLUTION: This handrail for the manhole comprises a handrail mounting fitting 12 which is detachably or fixedly attached to the internal wall 11 of the manhole 10, and a handrail body 1 which is mounted to the fitting 12. The handrail body 1 is formed of an insertion part 2 which is inserted into the fitting 12, a horizontal part 3 which is elongated from the insertion part 2, and a handrail 4 which is elongated upward from the horizontal part 3.
