PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of preventing movement and rotation of paper sheets to be caused by a strong abutment when drawing a paper feed tray by providing a returning member for pushing back a tip of the paper sheet toward the paper feed tray side even if multiple paper sheets are conveyed to a part near a separating part by the paper sheet feeding operation, and pushing back the paper sheets from the part near the separating part toward the paper feed tray side with operation for drawing the paper feed tray from a main body to prevent a strong abutment of the tip of the uppermost paper sheet to be caused by multiple paper sheets, and to provide an image forming device with the same. SOLUTION: The paper feeder includes the paper feed tray 2a detachably attached to an image forming device 1 main body and loaded with the paper sheets, a call roller 3 for delivering the paper sheets P from the paper feed tray 2a, and a separating part formed of a paper feed roller 4 and a reverse-rotating roller 5 for separating the delivered paper sheets one by one. A returning member 30 is provided to push back the tip of the paper sheet toward the paper feed tray 2a, and this returning member 30 pushes back the paper sheets P in a direction opposite to the paper sheet conveying direction with operation for drawing the paper feed tray 2a from the main body.
