An air curtain system and/or security sensing system for doors has a compact vertical housing (10) with integral blowers to provide a horizontal air curtain via vertical slits (20, 21). The vertical housings are mounted between upper and slower guides and are moved independently to the doors. They are set in the optimum positions when the doors are opened and can be fitted to sliding and/or hinged doors.
