A motor control method of a brake system of a vehicle is provided to restrict operational noise of the motor and vibration of a pedal, and to relieve discomfort by modifying driving pattern of the motor and gradually driving the motor according to counter electromotive voltage. An electronic control unit detects a motor fuse(201), and drives a motor for the predetermined time by applying a motor drive command to a motor driving unit(203). The driving number of the motor is increased, and the elapsed time is compared with the predetermined range after driving the motor(207,209). Counter electromotive voltage of the motor is compared with the first critical value in case of the elapsed time to be within the predetermined range(211,213), and compared with the reference value(215). The driving number of the motor is compared with the predetermined number(217), and counter electromotive voltage of the motor is detected secondarily and compared with the second critical value(212,214). Fault of the motor is checked in case of counter electromotive voltage of the motor to be over the reference value(219). |
